I heard on the radio that Americans consume 4% of their yearly candy intake on Halloween. I am happy to say that NHE might have contributed to your child’s consumption of candy today. I am even more proud to say that we did so while staying mindful of the grade level standards in Mathematics.
All of our students today went Trick-or-Treating to the classrooms in 4 different grade levels. Then they completed Math activities based on the amount of treats collected. A lot of estimating, graphing, plotting, and calculating went in to their Math work while enjoying the season.
We love any opportunity to enhance the Math skills of our students! Today was a great example of how you can incorporate fun learning activities into any family event.
