We have the most gracious and generous students and families at
our school! We have been extremely busy this week not only working on mastering the state standards, but also being good, honorable citizens. Between collecting canned foods, collecting sporting equipment for students in Africa, raising money for Fine Arts, and raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project our students are demonstrating that they care about our community outside our school house.
In one day alone, students brought in over 8oo cans of food! Every Tuesday for the month of November we will be collecting canned food in order to make a sizable contribution to a local shelter.
Over the last month, four very bright and talented 5th grade students- Ellie McArthur, Kaysen Welch, Gillian Vaughn, and Kenley Woods- organized the Sporting Equipment for Africa project, asking other students to donate their used balls, jump ropes, shoes and backpacks for a local church’s mission trip. These students are leaning to be great leaders while thinking of others first.
Last Friday, we recognized over 150 students for exhibiting good character traits of courage and honor, our Great Grizzly words for September and October. If you are in the school, please look for these students’ pictures on display in each hallway.
Great things are going on all around our school and we appreciate
you for being part of it!
